Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 2026. The cookies and local storage we use, and how you control them.
1. What this covers
This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage) used on this website, why we use them, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
2. Your choices
Strictly-necessary technologies are required to run the site and are always on. Non-essential technologies (such as analytics) do not run unless you opt in through the cookie banner shown on your first visit. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by clearing the "jvt.consent" entry in your browser, which brings the banner back.
3. Strictly-necessary
These are required to sign you in, keep the site secure, and remember your session or an in-progress draft. They cannot be switched off.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Party |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| sb-…-auth-token | Cookie | Keeps you signed in and secures your session (Supabase authentication). | Session / up to ~1 week (refreshed) | First-party |
| jvt.consent | Local storage | Remembers your cookie choices so we don't ask every visit. | Until you clear it / policy version change | First-party |
| jvt.booking.* | Local storage | Temporarily holds a booking draft while you complete checkout. | Cleared on booking; auto-expires after 24 hours | First-party |
| jvt.plan.draft | Local storage | Holds your non-sensitive trip selections across sign-in. | Cleared after your plan is saved | First-party |
4. Optional (consent required)
These load only after you opt in. None are active today unless the banner offered them and you accepted.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Party |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Analytics (if enabled) | Cookie / storage | Helps us understand usage to improve the site. Loads only if you opt in via the cookie banner. | Set by the analytics provider | First / third-party |
5. Managing cookies in your browser
You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Disabling strictly-necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Services (such as signing in) from working.
6. More information
For how we handle personal information generally, see our Privacy Policy.
